Established in 1976 and attended by over 2000 delegates the festival has featured hundreds of globally renowned top TV executives as speakers

The Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival is governed by its Executive and Advisory  committees making it the only event both run by and for the television industry.
 

Being a charitable organisation, the festival runs two prestigious talent schemes, The Network and Ones to Watch (formerly known as Fast Track), run by their own committee, as well as The Network at Work, the festival’s work placement scheme.

The Guardian Edinburgh International Television Festival takes place every August at the heart of Edinburgh festival season. The next festival will take place on Thursday 22 – Saturday 24 August 2013 at the EICC which is situated in the centre of Edinburgh.
