The Network is for you if…you LOVE TV and want to be part of an army of people behind the cameras whose job it is to make brilliant content.

You do not need any qualifications to apply. We are looking for applicants who love TV and have a genuine ambition to work in the industry.

  • You must be over 18 years of age by August 2015
  • If you are in full time education you must currently be in your final year of college/university and available for work in 2015
  • This is not a scheme for presenters. The Network is a training opportunity for those who want to work behind the camera.
  • You must have less than 3 months PAID experience in TV, anything over and you will not be eligible to apply.

The Network is committed to equality and diversity.  We encourage applications from minorities and people with disabilities.

  • The nature of the TV industry means you'll often be working short contracts.

You will be as good as your last job, so it's important you make a good impression

  • Are you willing to work long, unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends?

Working in production is not a 9-5 job. It often involves going out on location, and working long hours in irregular patterns.

  • Are you resilient enough to take the stresses of the job?

Tight deadlines and pressure mean that production jobs are not for the faint hearted. You need to be sure you have the resilience to take the pressure.

  • Are you prepared to do routine tasks?

As a new entrant in the TV industry, no one is interested in hiring people who think routine tasks are beneath them. Even the smallest task has a value in a production.
